Water-Related Websites: 5 out of 10 survived

in Water

The combination of my anticipation of a severe earthquake occurring soon in an area that millions forget is a California DESERT has inspired me to bring forward a few links I established at the old FH site from 2005 and before. The magic will end when the earth shakes enough to end the illusion of water magically coming out of a tap and the hard reality of living in a desert descends upon the “English Manor” lawns of the “master planned communities”.

Five years ago I listed ten websites related to water handling and storage. Only five out of the ten websites still exist. Here they are.

Airlift Technologies
is a California based air lift water pumping windmill company with the purpose of providing an effective, low-cost solution to your water pumping needs through the use of cutting edge windmill design and advanced air lift water pumping technology.

Aqua Sun International
manufactures solar and 12 volt powered, portable and stationary, water purification systems.

Aquatank
emergency water storage containers were created to store a large volume of water in an easy-to-use food-grade container and to provide an economical way to store and transport water.

BioLet Toilet Systems
manufactures the BioLet Composting Toilets, easy and comfortable to use as regular flush toilets. Biolet is listed here because their products do not pollute lakes, streams, oceans, or the ground, and generate an end product beneficial for the soil without using valuable water.

Tank Town
provides support, supplies, and even amusement for the do-it-yourself rainwater harvester. The site provides a clip from a DVD and the 1st chapter of a book about rainwater collection systems: “Rainwater Collection For the Mechanically Challenged”.

If you know of any other relevant sites concerning the subject of water collection, storage and efficient use please let me know and I will be glad to add a post. Or you can inquire about adding a post yourself. ;-)

And please remember, water weights a LOT. Thinking of storing five hundred gallons in your back yard? Make sure you have a clear and level foundation because you’re talking about over two TONS of water.
